The Neighbors Foundation exists only through financial and food donations. It is made up of community volunteers. The Officers, Directors and workers are all volunteers. All of your tax-deductible contributions are used for helping others. We cannot help our neighbors without your help!
We encourage donations sent by check to Neighbors Foundation, P. O. Box 155, Grand Island NY 14072 or donate now via our website with a major credit card by clicking the "Donate " button below. The Grand Island Neighbors Foundation is an IRS authorized 501(c)(3) charitable organization; all donations are fully tax deductible.
Donations are especially welcome at the Holiday Season, through our ‘Share Your Happiness’ campaign, where all donations are acknowledged in local media and Internet sites (although anonymous donations are, of course, welcome).
UNITED WAY DONATIONS
The Neighbors Foundation of Grand Island is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and participates in the United Way Donor Choice Program for Buffalo and Erie County. When you take part in United Way payroll deductions at work, you can direct your funds to be donated to the Neighbors Foundation of Grand Island (United Way account #650044.)
Maintaining a useful and current food pantry requires a steady supply of donated non-perishable food, toiletries and household supplies. The local Postal Workers bring us a successful drive every spring, school children donate at the Holiday season, groups such as Little League, Scouts and businesses help. Individual donations are equally welcome. Unfortunately, the Foundation has no facilities for safely handling perishable food, and cannot accept such donations, no matter how well-intentioned.
